Parker sign up with Potts
After almost a year of respective site visits and meticulous auditing, North Shields based Potts Printers can announce that they have achieved preferred supplier status for Sanford Europe.
US owned Sanford’s portfolio includes brands such as Parker, Waterman, Paper Mate, Rotring and the Berol range of pens and accessories.
Sanford has UK headquarters based in Newhaven on the South Coast, and they also manufacture from sites in Europe.
Potts’ John Conway and Managing Director Shaun Currie recently visited their operation in Nantes, France, and met with their European Purchasing Manager Lionel Rate, for a factory visit and to get an understanding of the Sanford methods of world-class manufacturing and supplier requirements, and to agree the preferred supplier contract.
Potts will be producing a wide range of printed literature and on shelf packaging across the Sanford brands, for both the UK and European markets.
John Conway, Potts’ Marketing Manager said: "This is a great opportunity for us to further establish ourselves as a major UK print company supplying the cream of blue chip clients with brands such as Parker. There is no"North -South divide" perception as far as we are concerned. This shows that we are more than prepared and capable to develop our excellent reputation for supplying quality printed items to both UK and Europe based companies."
Potts are a commercial and packaging printer; currently employing over 100 staff, and are on target for a £7.5m turnover by the end of 2005, an increase of 20% on last year.
