5 Star Potts Join the Elite
Cramlington based print and packaging company Potts have proudly announced their recent FSC and PEFC accreditations, and in doing so have joined an elite group of UK print companies.
In addition to ISO 14001 for Environmental management, ISO9001 for quality management and OHSAS18001 for Health and safety management, the FSC and PEFC accreditations make Potts one of only a handful of UK printers to have all five certificates, re-enforcing Potts’ commitment to environmental issues, continuous improvement and world class manufacturing.
John Conway, Potts Marketing Director commented "The five accreditations are testimony that we are a print company ahead of the game by talking and listening to our customers, and doing what we say we are going to do - not just paying lip service to issues such as the environment. We want to encourage and develop through our staff, clients and suppliers that Potts are a print company with world class manufacturing innovation and working practices."
"We work closely on design and print projects with clients such as the Environment Agency and the Woodland Trust and we are contracted through Consilience Media to produce the Environmentalist magazine, for the Institute of Environmental management & Assessment. We are currently working on some exciting retail packaging projects for several major clients involving recycled materials and techniques."
Potts also undertook a fact finding visit to the Stora Enso mill based in Oulu, Finland, to learn more about FSC and the environmental procedures and practices involved in the production of paper and carton board.
